Web blog entry number eighteen.

Freya's fysiotherapy has started and she has had two sessions already. The first session Freya didn't like at all, the second time the fysiotherapist came around it was better, but towards the end of the session Freya started complaining. I am not sure wether its the fysiotherapy or Freya herself, but she is definatly getting stronger. She is also much more expressive and has atleast five ways of communicating now that do not involve your typical "dodo", "dada" sounds, which she doesn't use at all... Anyway, I already mentioned the kissing and the coughing, added to that is now also some laughing that sounds like loud breathing, she's making use of the gag reflex sound and something that I shall describe as "hoe" [ pronounced like the english "who" or dutch "hoe" ]. She can drink from her own mug, holding it by herself and she also likes to hold her own bottle now. Drinking from mamma's or pappa's mug is however still favourite. She has decided that she should atleast try everything that we have ;)Her relationship to Sjah is continuously evolving, they like eachother a lot. The cat even tries to play with her by moving objects that are close to her!

Web blog entry number seventeen.

We've been to the hospital again, for fysiotherapy and now we have decided, together with the fysiotherapist that Freya will get home fysio twice a week. She still has some, unexplained weakness in her muscles, and eventhough she doesn't lag far behind ( about a month below avarage ) we feel that she can only benefit from the treatment. It will be paid by the hospital and it will be at home.

Web blog entry number sixteen.

Freya also got her two upper front teeth now. We were with the doctor yesterday afternoon for her eight-month check-up. Freya got some anti biotics again for the eye infection that she has had since birth. I hope this time it will actually work.

Her measurements are now:

Weight: 6960g

Length: 65,0cm
Around the head: 43,2

Otherwise she is doing fine, playing, eating well, smiling a lot more often, making sounds, her newest is a little kissing sound ;) And she seems to have developed her own language by coughing. Interesting hm? Yes, we are still worried that her vocal cords might somehow be damaged. But time will tell...
The picture was taken today, its difficult to make a natural pic. of her as she always immediatly notices the camera ;)

Freya has her two bottom teeth now and here are her other measurements as they were 4.10.05:

Weight: 6495g
Length: 64,2cm
Around the head: 42,9cm
