Web blog entry number three.

Volcano darkness

There has been a new volcanoeeruption in Iceland. Big dust clouds are covering the northern hemisphere and its dark, dark.
Or is it just November? I wonder who gets the ownership of the new land on Iceland? I assume it is the Icelandic government.
Iceland has a long history as a "growing" nation. In the 1970's they got a new Island if I remember correctly.

Maybe if they are lucky, Iceland can be a huge nation in a hundred years from now!

A little recipe

A work friend of mine had the kindness to give me about 1 kilo of deer meat after a lucky hunting day.
Deer meat is in my opinion one of the nicest wild meat you can find, since it contains more fat than that of the elk, and it does not have the strong "after taste" of reindeer meat.

We made a stew out of it. Here follows the recipe.

Prepare by cutting the meat into fairly large dices.

1. Bake the meat on high temperature until it gets a good color.
2. Add water salt and pepper. Put it in the oven for an hour.
3. Cut carrots into slices.
4. Take the stew out from the oven and add the carrots together with garlic, pickled onion and sweet onion. The sweet onion you can cut in fairly big pieces.
5. Put the mix back into the oven for another hour.

Enjoy!

Web blog entry number two.

Let me present our cats, Sjah and Pimmetje. I did not know much about cats earlier (we always had dogs), but now I know everything. So I will share this knowledge with you in a little story I like to call: "Terjes Truth about cats."

Terjes truth about cats

All cats have personality and behave strangely very often. Especially during nighttime. They like to scream and sit on each others backs. Its some kind of ritual.

During the days they eat insects and like to rest for the night in weird places. Once I found a cat in my training pants.

Sometimes they will spread out on their back and play dead. And some times they just...well, look at Pimmetje in the pictures. Its hard to explain what he is doing.

Cats do not like water so we do not wash our cats. If you absolutely have to, you can learn more here.

Web blog entry number one.

Always difficult to know how to begin. I mean, what in the world will I...or wait a minute. Now I know.

Did you see this picture George Bush during the last presidential debate?

What is he hiding under his costume? Wouldn't surprise me if that is a radio device so that advisers can tell him what to say.

Maybe a good idea: instead of having a president that knows how to think, you have a president that knows how to speak and you remote control him. Sounds like the future! In Tampere today winter is coming. Time to start scraping the car windows again. I wonder if my Mazda will make it until the spring. I surely hope so.
