24.05.2007

Web blog entry number thirty-six.

It's been while, I know. I have tried starting an update a couple of times, but something always came in between. I guess you'd call it life ;)

Many things have happened, the latest being that I didn't shake my gestational diabetes afterall, instead I have diabetes mellitus type 2 now. I haven't seen a doctor about it yet, a visit is coming up though. What I have done so far is learn all I can about it and try to loose weight, a 10% weight loss can aparently aleady make a world of difference. Made an eye doctor appointment too. Since I was pregnant with Freya I have been suffering from "tired" eyes. At some point during reading ( or writing ) my vision gets blurry. Since I have now been diagnosed with diabetes I thought I'd better check if "tired" eyes aren't actually "damaged" eyes due to diabetes.

Yes, life has changed, the kids are growing and changing, they are a real handful, but I m not complaining. We have had some good news about Freya, but more on that in her blog.

We have made some new friends too, some of the new people that moved into the neighbourhood are really nice. They have a daughter who is about Freya's age and they play together. Unfortunatly I can't post any pictures, our digital camera broke, so did our iron ( for ironing clothes ), and our water cooker and two lamps ( and I am not talking about light bulbs either ).

I think I have been rambling on enough for now, so auf wiedersehen, as the germans say, bis bald!.
